Privacy Policy
Last updated: [fill in date]. Placeholder — have this reviewed by a
lawyer for your jurisdiction before relying on it.
What we collect
- Account info: display name, and your gender / who you're
looking to match with.
- Age attestation: the birth year and month you enter at
sign-up (not your full date of birth), plus when you attested it.
- Chat messages: text messages sent during a chat are stored
temporarily so both participants can see the conversation, and may
be preserved longer if a chat is reported.
- Video/audio: video and audio are peer-to-peer (WebRTC) —
they go directly between the two participants, not through our
servers, and we do not record them.
- Reports and bans: if you report someone or are reported, we
keep a record of the report, the reason, and any resulting action.
- Basic visit info: once per session, we record your device
type, operating system, browser, an approximate country (from your
IP address via a third-party lookup — we do not store the IP
address itself), and how you arrived at the site (e.g. a search
engine, an ad, or a link). This is used only for internal traffic
and abuse statistics, never sold or shared with advertisers.
Why
We use this data to run the matching and chat features, to enforce
our community rules, and to respond to
abuse reports and legal requests.
Retention
[Fill in: how long chat logs, reports, and ban records are kept.
Preserving reported content for a defined period before deletion is
recommended so it can support an investigation if needed.]
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We may disclose information in response to
a valid legal request, or when required to protect the safety of a
user or the public — including, where legally required, reporting
child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities.
Your choices
You can delete your account at any time. [Fill in your actual deletion
process/contact.]
